My name is Nikitha Lanka and I am a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am majoring in Public Health with a minor in Biology. My interest in medicine kindled during an internship I completed in Hyderabad, India at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences in 2016. While I was there, something that drew my attention was the outdated medical equipment the doctors were using. This led me to consider how advanced the U.S healthcare system must be, seeing as we possess all the newest technologies. With this Reader’s Guide, I took my thoughts on this subject further and dug deep into various focal points to truly understand the multifaceted implications of technology in medicine.
